Heading North
on Hwy. 93 you will first come to
what is commonly called "the wye" where I-90 meets Hwy.
93 N. At "the wye" stands Muralt's Travel Plaza - a
great place for a pit stop whether you are heading north, south,
east or west! Just beyond Muralt's is Evaro Hill - a quick 10
minutes to Missoula - followed by Arlee which is about a 25 minute
commute. Beyond Arlee are St. Ignatius, Ronan and Polson, with
Polson being an hour from Missoula. Polson sits on the south end
of Flathead Lake in the Flathead Valley (see 3rd map below). |

Heading
West on I-90 along the Clark Fork
River is the Frenchtown Valley with the town of Frenchtown being
a short 15-20 minutes from Missoula. Just minutes beyond Frenchtown
are Huson/9 Mile followed by PettyCreek/Alberton which is approximately
30-40 minutes outside of Missoula. The next town is Superior which
is a good hour from Missoula. Beyond that is St. Regis and the
smaller towns nearing the MT/ID border. |

Heading East
on I-90 along the Clark Fork River
you will first come to East Missoula which is a quick 5 minute
commute to downtown Missoula and even closer to the University
of Montana. Beyond East Missoula is Milltown, Bonner, Turah and
Clinton, with Clinton being a 15-20 minute commute. Beyond Clinton
is Rock Creek and Drummond (50 minutes east of Missoula). Beyond
Drummond is Deerlodge, Anaconda and Butte which is 120 miles from
Missoula. |
